A complete rebuild of an Inner Mission 2 family dwelling. Due to the nature of the oversized lot the building was able to be expanded to near 4100 sq ft. The existing structure was shored up while the excavation of the new foundation was performed. Further ceiling height was achieved by converting the crawl space above the third floor. This resulted in a wider floorpan and high ceilings to achieve an airy open plan no conceivable on the usual San Francisco 25’ wide lot size.
